Thankful

I am thankful for the bag of peanut M & M's I found in my purse when I was hungry given to me by a friend because it means that I won't starve to death and I have friends who care (wait...I'm not sure if she gave them to me or if I helped myself to them...at any rate)

I am thankful for my baby boy who begs to stay at home with me instead of go to preschool because it means he loves his mommy enough to want to be around her ALL the time!

I am thankful for the 20 minute drive to my oldest sons school driven by moi... to and fro twice a day because we prayed for him to get into the school and God answered our prayers!

I am thankful for the 1 1/2 hr nap I got before working a 12 1/2 hr shift because it could have been zero hours or worse yet... I could be jobless!

I am thankful for my frugal husband because if he didn't crack his whip every once in a while we would be in debt up to our eyeballs!

I'm thankful for the yelling and laughter my boys exhibit while playing together (even though my head is killing me) because it shows that I have healthy, happy kids who for now enjoy being around each other!

Try this simple mental exercise: turn all the things you complain about throughout the day into something positive and realize they are truly blessings in disguise. You can even take it one step further and thank God while you're at it. You'll end up pleasing God and you'll be a lot nicer to be around!
