Monday Manna

Since I work weekends only, I unfortunately miss a lot of church! Terrible huh? My hubby faithfully attends Sunday School and church with two toddlers in tow, each and every Sunday, all by himself even on days that he has to bring the message! Pretty Impressive!

My Monday Manna is my way of making sure I don't let my job keep me from my Jesus! I just share a scripture from the Bible of whatever I'm reading at the time. I will try not to bore you with my thoughts and feelings on each scripture (unless you want me to). Just know that if I chose a particular scripture then it's for a reason! If this part of my blog is annoying to you....God forbid....please feel free to skip through it, but my hope is that by sharing scripture with you...you will be encouraged to read and study for yourself and develop a deeper relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
**manna=the Hebrew name for a food that was eaten by Israelites during their travels in the desert according to the Bible

Galations 2:16
NIV: know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.
Amplified:Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God not by works of the Law, but [only] through faith and [absolute] reliance on and adherence to and trust in Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). [Therefore] even we [ourselves] have believed on Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law [for we cannot be justified by any observance of the ritual of the Law given by Moses], because by keeping legal rituals and by works no human being can ever be justified (declared righteous and put in right standing with God)

  1. Wifey, I want to commend you for having a Monday Manna. This is a great way to stay connected to our heavenly father and to get different points of view on scripture. Anyways what is your opinion on this passage of scripture?

  2. it's simple: no one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven on good works alone. Being a "good person" isn't enough. Only absolute faith in Jesus Christ (as evidenced by keeping His commandments and having a relationship with Him)
