Shanita's Weight Loss Adventure

I feel ya!
(In case you can't read it...It says: I keep trying to lose weight but it keeps finding me!)

Would you all like to join me on an adventure.  It's the Shanita's Weight Loss Adventure.  I have finally come to a point in my lilfe where I need to make some serious lifestyle changes and get a handle on my horrible eating habits.  For 32 years I have eaten any and everything that I wanted.  Growing up I was always on the skinnier side (I actually hated it when people called me skinny...go figure) .  Being active with sports helped a lot along with a pretty good metabolism.

Well, time brings about a change and my metabolism has slowed to a crawl and active for me is running around the house cleaning up after my boys.  Which means that I've packed on a few poumds and it is soooo not pretty! I've blamed my slow weight gain on birthing children but we all know I can't keep blaming the babies for my poor choices.

So I decided to join Weight Watchers.  I chose WW for several reasons but I'll spare you the details since I am not a paid spokesperson.... hahahaha!  I decided to use my blog as a means of keeping me accountable.  I am committing to sharing my ups and downs, joys and frustrations with all of you.  Maybe you all have some ideas and/or encouragement to keep me going!

I'll have my first updates next Wednesday .... my weigh in day! I'm not brave enough to let you all know how much I really weigh (it's my little secret) but I will let you know how much I've lost.  It's been a rough couple of days for me because old habits die hard.  Hopefully it will get a bit easier!

  1. You look great and don't need to lose any weight...but I am really proud of you for giving up your Whataburger habit ;-) Remove meat from your diet two days a week..or more :-) It's kinder to your body and the environment!

  4. Good luck! I think you look wonderful! I just gave up my WW membership last week. I had been going for 2 yrs and just lost my mojo for it. I lost 35lbs tho (gained 15 back - LOL). I'm taking a new approach now. :)

  5. Wow Amy. That's one of my fears. Doing all of this hard work only to regain the weight. I'm really trying to focus on making it a lifestyle change rather than a crash diet. A total of 20 lbs lost is still a major accomplishment! I'll take it!
