When I Was A Kid

When I was young (er) I, like many other little girls, wanted to be a mommy. I had wonderful fantasies about this whole mommy thing and I’ll share some of those with you.

1. Watching my kids grow up to be the best of friends
2. On my hands and knees playing horsey with my kids
3. Dressing my kids up like little dolls
4. Playing in the park
5. Feeding them in cute little kiddy dishes
6. Taking tons of pictures to add to my plethora of photo albums
7. Sharing the joys of raising my boys with friends and family
8. Having a little “mini me” that looked and acted just like me!

What I never thought I’d be doing:
1. Prying one kid off of another during an altercation over toys
2. On my hands and knees picking up bacon, cheerios, crayon tips, and bodily fluids off the floor.
3. Dressing up my kids just to have them spill food, and body fluids on their cute little outfits….all before school, church, or picture day
4. Playing in the park and having them jump out of trees or eat dirt or stomp in mud puddles
5. Feeding them in cute little kiddy dishes and then watch them dump the food on the floor or bang the dishes on my glass table or downright refuse to eat the food I worked hard to provide them
6. Taking pictures and having them get lost in cyberspace on some internet photo storage site
7. Sharing the joys of raising my boys via my blog
8. Getting angry at my kids for acting just like me!
