Christmas Program

Our boys have been busy getting into the holiday spirit.  They had their school Christmas program last week and this past Sunday was our church Christmas program.  They have been working hard learning their songs, dance moves and speeches.  I didn't think Ian would participate in either production but he surprised me.  He was the youngest kid at church with a speech this year.  Sure it was only two lines long  "Welcome to our play. That's all I have to say."  but that's not the point is it?

Evan has been reciting speeches at church since he could talk.  He has an impressive memory. When he was three, we asked for a longer speech for him to recite.  He had the longest speech of all the kids, and he didn't miss a word.  It was truly impressive.  I kind of felt like we were trying to boast that our kid was smarter than everyone else's kid so we didn't ask for a long speech anymore.

Here are a few pics from our church Christmas program:

This is what I get when I ask for a smile

Ian during his first church performance

In two minutes Evan managed to look like he just rolled out of bed. And check out the look on Terrance's face in the pulpit?

Ian doesn't like to pose for the camera

Evan on the other hand...loves the camera

Doesn't he look like Pee Wee Herman?

  1. Pee Wee Herman? Okay, maybe a little. I think you have a very handsome family! And that Evan IS smarter than most other boys the same age...
